Creating a Content Calendar to Stay Consistent on Social Media

Social media can be overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to balance it with creating new work, packing orders, managing commissions, and, oh right—actually painting. But consistency doesn’t have to mean posting daily or spending hours scrolling. With a simple content calendar, you can stay active, connect with your audience, and promote your art without stress or burnout.

You don’t need to post daily. Start with what’s realistic. For many artists, that’s:

·         2–3 times a week on Instagram or Facebook

·         1 post a week on Pinterest or LinkedIn

·         1 short video or reel every week or two

Remember: consistency matters more than frequency. It’s better to post twice a week consistently than 6 times one week, then disappear for a month.

Take one day every week (or month) to plan ahead. You can:

·         Batch-take photos or videos
